Welcome to Minesing United Church ONLINE!
Our website has all kinds of information about who we are and what we do. Meanwhile, if you want to meet us in person...
We are an open and friendly congregation in rural Ontario near Barrie. We worship on Sunday mornings at 10am. See the About Us page for directions! Children and youth are included in the first part of the service and then leave to participate in J.O.Y. or MY Program. There is a staffed nursery for the little ones. Check out the list of questions below for more information...
Inspired by Diana Butler Bass's book, "Christianity for the Rest of Us" which is our fall book study, the community of Minesing United Church will be taking a closer look at practices of Christian faith that are signposts of vitality both in community life and in personal spiritual practice.
All of these practices are inter-related but at the same time each has their own unique place. To help visualize all of the elements we will be focusing on, I invite you to take a look at our "TRANSFORMATION TREE." Trees have long been symbols of interconnectedness, complex systems, growth, and development. Thus it seemed the perfect visual metaphor for what we will be doing.
Anyone and everyone is invited to join us for this exploration of spiritual practice whether by attending Sunday Worship, trying out the Book Club, or coming out for our monthly film series, Popcorn Spirituality.
The focus for November is Hospitality.

The wholeness of scripture testifies to the oneness and faithfulness of God. The multiplicity of scripture testifies to its depth: two testaments, four gospels, contrasting points of view held in tension—all a faithful witness to the One and Triune God, the Holy Mystery that is Wholly Love."
